Apple Tart



I tried out a new apple tart recipe. It's lighter than the earlier version of Petunia's Apple Pie. I stopped making the earlier version because the kids fell sick everytime they indulged. This one is healthier because it has less sugar and less butter.

How do you slice the apple so nicely?

Ting - The recipe book said to slice thin, and to leave a shred at the end unsliced so that the entire apple half still hangs together. I just plonked the half apple on the table and went at it with a small steak knife. Sliced thin.

The apples are arranged so neatly! I have tried your old apple pie version. It was so yummy!

Malar - Yup! The old recipe was real good. Buttery and rich.... hmmmmm
