A Travelling Mom's Breastfeeding Story

For Moms who have to travel for work, whilst breastfeeding, here is a most inspiring story. Many women find it difficult to breastfeed whilst at home. Like... why doesn't my boob fit my baby's mouth? Why is there NOTHING in this fat boob? Oh gee... I have nothing in TWO fat boobs. Ohhhh... I wish I had four boobs.

It's full what! Why is nothing coming out?!!

Hey twit! My boob is not made for chewing.

This Mom managed to breastfeed whilst traveling. The only thing I can say is "Wow!"

Many years ago, I know of a mother who left for more than a week (at least 2 weeks, I think?) to the USA. She pumped and brought all the milk back with dry ice packing.

Our 4yo is still on Mummy's milk. ;D

Wow! That's the longest I have encountered! When do you plan to stop?

No plans actually. This is the youngest. Just go with the flow. Doesn't hamper my life much at this point unlike when he was an infant.

Not the longest lah - I know quite a number who went beyond 7 or 8 yrs old and even until 10 or 11yo.

OKC, I m sure you WILL be able to pump, store n transport back all the milk safely

Karmeleon, heh discovered that we know these same people too. They (and you!) are such an inspiration!

Wow... in my opinion, it was very time-consuming to pump and feed baby via bottles. I took the "easy" way out by latching. Although l struggled with direct latch for the 1st 5 months, but things did work out by the time Beanie was about 6 months old. And that was when I decided to quit my full-time job and I simply continued to latch. Now the problem is to wean Beanie off!

They are the brainy ones.

I don't enjoy pumping myself but did do that with my no.2 and was happy after he turned 1yo to just stick to breastfeeding him directly ONLY when I am with him. If I'm not there, then that's it - he just doesn't drink milk!

@Wen-ai: You can do that too. Just feed directly only when you are with your girl, and then slowly move towards, "Don't offer, Don't Refuse" and leave it to nature. The child will wean naturally when it's immune system is more mature.

kudos to that mum! i pumped at the till my boy was 2.5 yrs and am now still nursing him at bedtime. He's turning 5yo in 2 mths. He will likely wean some time this year. He's my youngest and the one I've nursed longest.
