But the smell is divine. It's funny how well apple and cinnamon and butter come together in an orchestra of tastes so full and rich that it attracts every five to 70 year old within a 10 metre radius. From every part of the house, they float over to the dining table, and when I am not looking, fingers reach out to pinch away bits of crust. Then, my apple pie looks like the mice got there first.
Today, it actually looks like Grandma's Apple Pie. I just had to take a picture.

I can testify to the heavenly smell... ~~ Thanks for having me over. Unfortunately, my balcony's paint job is not completed.. so I have not sowed the seeds, just took care of the cuttings and seedlings. Thanks again!
Thanks for helping me make the pie!! That's probably why it turned out nicer than usual!!
Don't have to be there to smell and want a piece of the pie...the picture is enough to make me drool! BTW, thanks for recommending World Farm. I visited the place a couple of days ago and was floored by the sheer size of the place and the great variety of plants and trees! I asked to see a particular plant and was driven on a buggy to check it out at the other end of the nursery!
I can smell it from over here too! Wah, I like apple pie, it's an all time comfort food!
Leah - I am glad you enjoyed WF!! One tends to keep going back!! I know people who organize outings to WF like they organize outings to the zoo.
Ting - You bet it's comfort food! Christopher makes funny grunts when he eats that pie. He's so funny!
